The extremely popular keynote session at the JCT Traffic Signals Symposium featuring behavioural scientists Rory Sutherland and Pete Dyson is now available to watch on JCT’s YouTube channel.
All seven sessions at the Symposium in Nottingham were filmed thanks to the support of video sponsors AGD Systems, INRIX, Messagemaker Displays, PTV Group, Simplifai Systems, smartmicro UK and TRL Software.
The extra long keynote session, based on the pair’s book Transport for Humans looked at how people approach travelling, which is in a different way to engineers or planners might consider journeys.
The response to the session was extremely positive, with delegates giving high scores on assessments, and requesting they get the link to the presentation so they could share with colleagues.
The session began with a presentation about psychology with academic Pete Dyson before broadcaster, writer and marketing expert Rory Sutherland (pictured) took over to get the audience to consider various transport scenarios.
